Butterfly Stretch

A seated stretch for the inner thighs, groin, and lower back. Bringing the soles of your feet together and easing forward opens the hips and releases lower-back tension, helping maintain flexibility and lower injury risk.

How to do it

    Sit up tall and bend your knees so the soles of your feet meet, drawing your heels in toward your hips.

  2. 2

    Rest your hands on your feet.

  3. 3

    Slowly fold your torso forward until you feel an easy stretch along your inner thighs.

  4. 4

    Hold for 15 to 30 seconds.
