ABS

V-Up

BeginnerBodyweight

The V-up is a bodyweight ab exercise that lifts the legs and upper body at once to form a V. The long range and coordination it takes make it tougher than a basic sit-up or leg raise. It's excellent for building core strength and control.

How to do it

  1. 1

Lie flat with your arms overhead and legs extended so your body is one straight line.

  2. 2

Exhale and raise your legs and torso at the same time, reaching your hands toward your feet.

  3. 3

Keep your back straight rather than rounding as you lift.

  4. 4

Meet in the middle in a V shape at the top.

  5. 5

Inhale and lower your legs and torso back down under control.
