ABS
Up Dog
BeginnerBodyweight
A yoga-derived pose that stretches the front of the torso and eases the lower back. Dropping the hips while pressing through straight arms lengthens the spine and abs. A useful mid-session reset that helps flexibility and posture.
How to do it
- 1
Start in a straight-body plank with hands under your shoulders and feet about hip width apart.
- 2
Let your hips sink toward the floor as you point your toes back behind you.
- 3
Keep your arms straight and press your chest forward and up.
- 4
Ease into it until you feel a comfortable stretch across the front of your torso.
- 5
Hold for 15 to 30 seconds, breathing steadily.
