A crunch done on your feet, bringing opposite elbow and knee together at your midline. Doing it standing adds a balance and coordination element while working the core through a functional, upright pattern.

How to do it

    Stand with feet close to shoulder-width and hands behind your head.

  2. 2

    Brace your core and shift your weight onto one leg.

  3. 3

    Lift the opposite knee while bringing the opposing elbow down to meet it at your midline.

  4. 4

    Reverse the motion under control, keeping your hands behind your head.

  5. 5

    Repeat on the other side and keep alternating.
