ABS
Scissor Crossover Kick
A bodyweight core exercise that builds on the scissor kick by crossing your legs over each other instead of kicking up and down. Keeping your feet off the floor loads the core, and the crossover adds instability the abs have to control.
How to do it
- 1
Lie on your back with legs extended and arms at your sides, palms down.
- 2
Brace your core to keep your lower back pressed into the floor.
- 3
Raise your legs a foot or two off the ground, spread just outside shoulder-width with a slight knee bend.
- 4
Cross your right leg over the left as the left moves under it.
- 5
Return to the start, then cross the left over the right, and keep alternating for the set reps or time.
