Partner Sit Up Toss

This partner sit-up adds a medicine ball toss at the top of each rep. It trains the core like a standard sit-up while the throwing and catching brings in coordination and a bit of chest and triceps work, making the set more dynamic and demanding.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Partners sit facing each other in sit-up position, one holding a medicine ball at the chest.

  2. 2

    Partner 1 braces the core and lowers back into a sit-up with the ball on the chest.

  3. 3

    Partner 1 reverses the movement, using the sit-up momentum to help.

  4. 4

    At the top, Partner 1 passes the ball to Partner 2 with the chest and triceps.

  5. 5

    Partner 2 catches the ball, absorbs it while leaning back, and performs their own sit-up.

  6. 6

    Keep passing the ball back and forth for the duration of the set.
