Forward Stability Ball Plank

BeginnerStability ball

A forearm plank with your elbows on a stability ball, which turns a static hold into a balance challenge. Fighting the ball's tendency to roll fires up the core, shoulders, and arms far more than a floor plank.

How to do it

  1. 1

Place your elbows on top of a stability ball, positioned under your shoulders, with your hands clasped.

  2. 2

Rise onto the balls of your feet and lift your body into a straight line from heels to shoulders.

  3. 3

Keep your core tight and the ball steady beneath your forearms.

  4. 4

Hold the position for the set time without letting your hips sag or the ball drift.
