SHOULDERS

Reach Behind and Open

BeginnerBodyweight

A two-way stretch that works the shoulders and chest at once by reaching one arm behind your back and the other over your shoulder. It builds shoulder mobility and eases tightness, making it a solid warm-up or cooldown move.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand tall with feet about shoulder width apart.

  2. 2

Slide your right hand up your back until it sits between your shoulder blades.

  3. 3

Reach your left arm overhead and bend the elbow so that hand drops down toward your right fingertips.

  4. 4

Press your chest forward until you feel an easy stretch.

  5. 5

Hold for 15 to 30 seconds, then switch arms and repeat.
