SHOULDERS
Barbell Front Raise
The Barbell Front Raise isolates the front of the shoulder by lifting a barbell out in front of your body. Using a barbell spreads the load evenly across both arms for balanced anterior delt development. It's a focused way to build strength and endurance in the front of the shoulders.
How to do it
- 1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and a slight bend in your knees.
- 2
Grip a barbell with both hands, palms toward you, about shoulder-width or a touch wider, elbows softly bent.
- 3
Raise the bar up and away from you in a smooth arc.
- 4
Hold briefly once the bar reaches shoulder level.
- 5
Lower it back down under control, keeping your core tight and posture upright.
