Kettlebell Halo

BeginnerKettlebell

The Kettlebell Halo improves shoulder mobility by circling a kettlebell around your head. Because the bell moves off your center of mass, your core has to work to keep you steady throughout. It's a great warm-up for anything that demands overhead range and healthy, mobile shoulders.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand upright holding a kettlebell upside down by its handle, just in front of your chin.

  2. 2

Circle the bell around your head in one direction, keeping it close to you.

  3. 3

Let the bell travel fully behind your head rather than just around your face.

  4. 4

Return to the start, then immediately circle it the other way.

  5. 5

Keep your core tight and continue alternating directions for the set.
