Renegade Row
The renegade row combines a plank on two dumbbells with an alternating single-arm row. Rowing from the plank position forces your core to fight rotation while your back, shoulders, and biceps do the pulling, making it a strong builder of overall strength and anti-rotation stability.
How to do it
- 1
Grip a pair of dumbbells on the floor and set them under your shoulders, palms facing each other.
- 2
Lift into a plank so your body forms a straight line from shoulders to heels, feet about shoulder width apart.
- 3
Shift your weight onto your left hand and row the right dumbbell up to the side of your ribs.
- 4
Lower the dumbbell back to the floor under control.
- 5
Repeat on the other side, alternating for your reps while keeping the hips steady.
