Handle Band Bent Over Row

BeginnerResistance band

This bent-over row uses a handled resistance band you stand on, so the tension climbs as you pull. Working each arm through its own handle helps keep both sides honest and even. The band setup is portable and still builds real back, shoulder, and biceps strength.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand on the middle of the band, feet about shoulder-width apart, a handle in each hand.

  2. 2

Bend your knees and push your hips back until your torso is around 45 degrees to the floor, and hold that hinge.

  3. 3

Pull the handles up and out toward shoulder height while squeezing your shoulder blades together.

  4. 4

Straighten your arms back down under your shoulders under control.

  5. 5

Keep your core tight and torso still throughout so you aren't using your lower back to swing the weight up.
