EZ-Bar Pull Over
A straight-arm pull-over using an EZ-bar that trains the back and chest, with help from the shoulders and triceps. Arcing the bar overhead moves the load through a plane most pressing and rowing work misses. The EZ-bar's angled grip keeps the wrists comfortable and adds a bit of stability.
How to do it
- 1
Lie back on a flat bench, keeping both shoulder blades pressed into it.
- 2
Grip an EZ-bar with both hands and hold it over your chest with your arms extended.
- 3
Slowly bend your elbows to about 90 degrees, keeping your triceps engaged to control the movement.
- 4
Take the bar back over your head until you feel a stretch through your back.
- 5
Engage your back and triceps to arc the bar back over your chest to the start position, then repeat.
