TRAPS

Cable Upright Row

BeginnerCable

A cable version of the upright row that trains the shoulders and traps with constant tension. Pulling against a cable lets you control the line of resistance and keeps the load steady through the whole rep.

How to do it

  1. 1

Set the pulley to its lowest position and grip the bar overhand, feet shoulder width apart.

  2. 2

Pull the bar up toward your chest, driving your elbows up past your shoulders.

  3. 3

Keep the bar close to your body throughout.

  4. 4

Lower under control back to the start and repeat.
