QUADS
TRX Split Squat
This split squat uses suspension straps to suspend your back foot, turning a simple lunge into a balance challenge for the quads, glutes and core. The unstable rear support forces the standing leg to do more work and keeps the trunk honest. It's a good single-leg option for building stability without loading a bar.
How to do it
- 1
Face away from the anchor and place the toe of your rear foot into the suspension loop.
- 2
Stand tall on your front leg with your weight centered over that foot.
- 3
Bend the front knee and hip to lower until the back knee hovers just above the floor.
- 4
Keep your torso upright and your front knee tracking over your foot.
- 5
Press through the front heel to return to standing.
- 6
Finish your reps, then swap the strap to the other foot and repeat.
