TRX Forward Lunge with Chest Stretch
This move layers an upper-body chest opener onto a forward lunge. As you lunge, you push your chest forward and let the TRX straps carry your arms out to the sides, stretching the chest and shoulders. It strengthens the quads and glutes while improving posture and upper-body flexibility, making it a nicely balanced combination.
How to do it
- 1
Stand between the straps, holding the TRX handles at hip height.
- 2
Step one foot forward and bend that knee into a lunge while keeping the other leg straight.
- 3
Push your chest forward and let the straps draw your extended arms up to shoulder height, opening the chest.
- 4
Push off the front foot to return to standing.
- 5
Repeat on the other side.
