Single Kettlebell Suitcase Deadlift
A deadlift variation loading a single kettlebell at one side of your body. The offset weight forces your core to work overtime resisting the sideways pull, while the posterior chain drives the lift, building both strength and anti-lean stability.
How to do it
- 1
Stand next to a kettlebell so it lines up with your heels, feet about shoulder-width apart with soft knees.
- 2
Hinge down into a deadlift position and grab the kettlebell with one hand.
- 3
Drive through your glutes, hamstrings, and quads to stand up, as if lifting a heavy suitcase.
- 4
Keep your core tight and your shoulders level as you rise.
- 5
Lower the kettlebell back down slowly, staying tight throughout.
- 6
Resist any lean toward the loaded side rather than using your core to help lift.
