Balance Trainer Bar Assisted Dome Squat

BeginnerStability ball

A squat performed while standing on a BOSU dome, using a balance bar touched to the floor for support. The curved, unstable surface hammers your stabilizers and coordination while your quads and glutes handle the squat. A beginner-friendly way to start training balance under load.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand on top of the dome with your feet hip-width apart and level.

  2. 2

Hold a balance bar in one hand, tip resting on the floor beside the dome for support.

  3. 3

Slowly bend your hips, knees and ankles to sink into a comfortable-depth squat.

  4. 4

At the same time, press the bar out to the side for stability.

  5. 5

Drive back up to standing, staying balanced on the dome.

  6. 6

Keep your chest lifted and your core braced throughout.
