HAMSTRINGS

Walkout

BeginnerBodyweight

The walkout is a bodyweight movement that stretches the hamstrings while challenging the core and shoulders to hold a plank at full reach. Traveling out to the plank and back builds control and mobility through the whole front side of the body. It works well as a dynamic warm-up before heavier training.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart.

  2. 2

Fold forward and place your hands on the floor outside your feet.

  3. 3

Walk your hands forward until your body forms a straight line from shoulders to heels, hands under your shoulders.

  4. 4

Walk your hands back toward your feet.

  5. 5

Rise back up to a standing position and repeat.
