A standing calf raise done on a calf machine, isolating the calves. The machine gives you controlled, adjustable resistance so you can dial in the load precisely. An effective option for putting size and strength on the calves.
How to do it

Stand in the calf machine with the shoulder pads resting on you and the balls of your feet on the platform.

Let your heels hang off the edge and drop slightly toward the floor by flexing your ankles.

Brace your core for a neutral spine, then extend your ankles to raise your heels.

Reach full ankle extension at the top.
- 5
Lower your heels back to the start under control and repeat.
