Lateral Line Hops

Lateral line hops train quick side-to-side movement by having you jump sideways over a line on the floor. The repeated rebounds build lower-body power and coordination for any sport that needs sharp changes of direction. It doubles as light conditioning too.

How to do it

    Stand beside a line with knees bent and weight on the balls of your feet.

  2. 2

    Brace your core, keep your back straight and look ahead.

  3. 3

    Push off to hop sideways over the line.

  4. 4

    Land softly on the balls of your feet with knees slightly bent.

  5. 5

    Immediately spring back over the line in the other direction.

  6. 6

    Keep a fast, light rhythm throughout the set.
