CALVES
Dumbbell Toe Walks
A walking calf drill loaded with a dumbbell in each hand. Staying up on your toes as you move keeps constant tension on the calves while challenging ankle stability and balance. Handy for building lower leg strength and endurance.
How to do it
- 1
Hold a dumbbell in each hand, arms hanging at your sides.
- 2
Squeeze your calves to lift your heels, keeping a slight bend in your knees.
- 3
Walk forward with your weight staying on the balls of your feet.
- 4
Keep your shoulders back, chest up, and knees softly bent as you go.
- 5
Continue for the set distance or time, feeling the work in your calves.
