TRICEPS

Tricep Stretch

BeginnerBodyweight

A simple overhead stretch that lengthens the triceps by reaching one arm behind your head and easing the elbow back with the opposite hand. It's an easy addition to a warm-up or cool-down to keep the arms mobile and reduce injury risk.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and raise one arm overhead, bending the elbow so your hand drops behind your shoulder blades.

  2. 2

Reach across with your opposite hand and grip that raised elbow.

  3. 3

Gently draw the elbow back until you feel a comfortable stretch along the triceps.

  4. 4

Hold for 15 to 30 seconds while breathing easily.

  5. 5

Release and repeat on the other arm.
