LOWER BACK
Reverse Leg Crossover
This floor move works the obliques and lower back by swinging one leg across your body while you lie face down. The rotational element brings in the core stabilisers and encourages spinal mobility beyond a plain extension. It is handy for building rotational strength and guarding the lower back.
How to do it
- 1
Lie flat on your stomach with legs straight and arms out to the sides, palms down.
- 2
Keep your palms planted and your upper body settled.
- 3
Lift one straight leg and sweep it up and across your body toward the opposite side.
- 4
Move with control and avoid twisting through the neck.
- 5
Return the leg to the start.
- 6
Repeat with the other leg, alternating sides.
