TRX Atomic Push Up

The TRX atomic push-up combines a suspended push-up with a knee tuck, making it a demanding full-body move for advanced lifters. It hits the chest, shoulders, triceps, core, and hip flexors while the straps add real instability. Expect a strength and conditioning challenge rolled into one.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Set the TRX handles about one to two feet off the floor and get on your hands and knees with your feet under the anchor.

  2. 2

    Slip your feet into the straps, then brace your core and lift into a plank with a straight line from heels to shoulders and hands under your shoulders.

  3. 3

    Bend your elbows to about 45 degrees and lower your chest until it's just above the floor.

  4. 4

    Press back up to straight arms.

  5. 5

    Tuck both knees in toward your chest, then extend back to the plank and repeat.
