CHEST

Partner Push Up Reach

BeginnerBodyweight

The partner push-up reach pairs a synced push-up with a mid-air hand touch. Beyond hitting the chest, shoulders, and triceps, shifting onto one arm to reach across forces extra core stability and coordination. It adds a fun, cooperative element to bodyweight upper-body training.

How to do it

  1. 1

Set up in push-up positions facing your partner, heads about an arm's length apart.

  2. 2

Place your hands under your shoulders, brace your core, and hold a flat back.

  3. 3

Both partners push up together to straight arms.

  4. 4

At the top, shift your weight onto your left hand and reach your right hand up to high-five your partner.

  5. 5

Return that hand to the floor, lower into another push-up under control, and repeat the high-five with the opposite hand.
